Dr. Zoltan Djelmis - DVM / Owner
Veterinarian Zoltan Djelmis has had love of animals and a soft spot for strays since he was a child. “I always loved animals, and I always wanted to be a vet, a dream I never gave up on,” says Dr. Djelmis.
Dr. Djelmis graduated in 1989 from University of Zagreb, Croatia. Civil war led him to come to America; he settled in the Columbus area because he had family here.
With almost 30 years of practice, Dr. Djelmis still gets excited about his work. He has a special interest in soft tissue surgeries, dentistry and ultrasound.
He’s been in Hilliard since 1997 and took over Dr. George Kukor’s Hilliard Veterinary Hospital in June of 2006. He is married to a pharmacist, has a 18 year old son and a stepson in college. He enjoys traveling, gardening and spending time with his family. Dr. Djelmis has two dogs, both beagle mixes. He is fluent in English, Hungarian and Serbian.
Anita - Customer Care Coordinator
Anita has worked in the veterinary field for about 11 years. She loves interacting with clients and pets alike. Anita and her husband Brent have a 9 month old baby girl, Rowan & a 7 year old Silver Lab named Benny who loves to go on walks and cuddle. She enjoys reading, crocheting & cross stitching in her free time.
Cheyenne- Veterinary Student/ Veterinary Assistant
Cheyenne is a third year veterinary student at The Ohio State University. She has an interest in small animal internal medicine and hopes to one day be board-certified. Cheyenne has an 9 year old rescue shih-tzu mix named Frodo and a black cat named Ed. In her spare time, she enjoys binge-watching TV, hiking, and reading.
Karen - Pet Groomer
Karen has groomed, shown and trained dogs since 1969. She was blessed to learn grooming from some of the finest professional show people in the United States. Her own kennel of Afghan hounds has had over 20 champions, including Best in show and the top scoring obedience Afghan hound for 2004. She also judges sweepstakes and futurities, teaches dog obedience and has published articles and a dog care column.
